Sign-in and your workspace
Trawler has no passwords of its own. You sign in with an account you already have, and everything you create belongs to a workspace.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”The sign-in page at app.usetrawler.com offers Continue with GitHub and Continue with Google. After signing in you land on 01 Product, ready to paste an address.
If the sign-in does not go through — GitHub or Google turns it down, or your workspace cannot be set up — you come back to the same page with Signing in did not work. Please try again. If it fails before you even get there, the page says Sign-in failed. Try again. or gives the reason.

Your workspace
Section titled “Your workspace”The first time you sign in, one of two things happens:
- You were invited. If a workspace has a pending invitation for your email address that has not expired, and your GitHub or Google account says that address is verified, you join that workspace in the role you were invited with.
- Otherwise, a workspace is created for you and you are its owner. It is named after the part of your email address before the
@: lowercased, with accents dropped, every run of other characters turned into a single dash, no dash at either end, at most 30 characters, and-orgon the end —ana.silva@example.comgets ana-silva-org. If nothing is left of the address, your name is used instead, and failing that the workspace is my-org.
The workspace’s name is shown, in capitals, in the top-right corner of each page, next to your email address on wider screens.
You work in one workspace at a time: the first one you belonged to. The app has no way yet to switch workspaces, rename one, or invite someone — an invitation can only be accepted at a first sign-in.

What a workspace keeps apart
Section titled “What a workspace keeps apart”Projects, runs, test accounts and the model key belong to one workspace, and the database itself refuses to show one workspace’s rows to another — not only the app. A project or run from another workspace answers as if it did not exist.
The private beta
Section titled “The private beta”Anyone can sign in, set up a project and edit its plan. Starting a hosted run needs an email address on the private beta list; everyone else sees Hosted runs are in private beta. Write to contact@usetrawler.com to get access. The check is on your own email address, not on the workspace.
